ASP uses only experienced teachers.

 

Ms. Ginnie has a music degree and many years of experience teaching music. She loves the children and is the person you will be talking to when you call the office.

 

Mr. Freeze comes to us from a private prep school in South Florida where he was dean of students. He is our math teacher and is a former marine. Mr. Freeze also has an MBA from the Wharton School of Business.

 

Joel David “JD” has a masters of arts and was a Peace Corps volunteer in Cape Verde after college, where he taught at an all boy’s school. JD substitutes in class and is the official Gym Rat, where he makes sure students are playing safely and having fun. JD loves playing soccer and helps coach the ASP soccer team.

 

Mr. Brian is the drum instructor and a substitute at ASP. He has a biology degree from Clemson (and is a season ticket holder there). In the mornings, Brian teaches at Wiggles and Tunes.

 

Mrs. Sue was an art teacher at the Spanish River Christian School in Boca Raton Florida. She relocated to Greenville when her husband  became an athletic director here. Mrs. Sue holds a degree in art.

 

Mr. Tony is a retired school teacher from New York who has a masters degree in education and has taught elementary school to high school. He substitutes and is ASP’s resident tutor.

 

Mrs. Micheline has a degree in elementary education and many years of experience as a Montessori teacher. She is a native of Quebec. She also teaches French to the younger students, while making sure that the children are finishing their homework.

 

Mrs. Lyestte runs ASP’s Spanish class. She is a native of Colombia and holds a BA in education, allowing her to teach both French and Spanish.

 

Mrs. Sophie is a native of France where she worked many years for Honeywell. She holds a masters degree in Human Resources. Sophie runs ASP’s French class for 3^rd graders and above. 

 

Mr. Daniel holds a History degree from South Carolina. He taught at a private school in Columbia for 5 years until he moved with his wife to St. Louis so she could finish her nursing degree. Daniel has taught History, English and Math. He was also a basketball coach and is currently working on his master’s in Education.

 

Mr. Derek has a degree in English from the University of Kansas. He is presently writing his thesis to receive his Masters in English from Clemson. Derek taught English 101 at Clemson.  

 

Ms. Pat has an education degree and taught school for many years before coming to ASP. She works with elementary school aged children.
